Using your own domain
Receive mail at addresses like hello@yourshop.com and answer from them, on Pro and Business.
What it does
Connect a domain you own, and its addresses can send and receive through InboxPanda. Your answers go out from hello@yourshop.com instead of "Your inbox via InboxPanda", and mail to that address arrives in the inbox you choose.
| Plan | Domains | Addresses |
|---|---|---|
| Free | None | None |
| Pro | 1 | 5 |
| Business | 3 | 25 |
Connect a domain
Open Account settings, then Your own domain. Type the domain, like yourshop.com, and press Connect.
If your domain's email is already hosted somewhere, like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, InboxPanda won't touch it. You choose one of two ways instead:
- Use a subdomain, like help.yourshop.com, which receives mail here and leaves your main mail where it is.
- Sending only: your answers go out from your domain, and your mail keeps going where it goes now. Keep forwarding it, as in Forwarding your email address.
Add the DNS records
InboxPanda shows the records to add at your DNS host, with a copy button for each. When your DNS is at a host that supports it, Connect in one click adds them for you.
Then press Check again. DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to show up.
Addresses
Once the domain is connected, add addresses, like hello or support, and pick the inbox each one goes to. The Catch-all sends mail to any other address on the domain to an inbox you pick. Left at None, mail to unknown addresses is dropped.
To send answers from one of these addresses, open the inbox's Settings, then Name and data, and set Send answers from. Replies to your answers still come back to the inbox.
Remove a domain
Remove domain disconnects it: its addresses stop receiving mail here, and your answers go out from InboxPanda again. You can connect it again later.
